Student Clubs




There are no prerequisites for students to attend any of these clubs and students can join in at any time of the year (Except for Computer Hardware Club).


Art Club:  Meets on Thursdays from 2:05 to 3:00 pm.  Come hang out with other enthusiastic artists while you talk about art, draw and paint!   For more information contact Mrs. Kamman at


Battle of the Books (BOB):  Meets every Wednesday during students' lunch period.  This is a voluntary reading incentive program for students to read good books and have fun while competing with peers.  Select this link for more information or contact Mrs. Deatherage at for more information.


Book Club:  Meets the 1st Thursday of each month in Room L3, from 2:10 to 3:00 pm.  We will read and gather to discuss a novel every month!   For more information contact Mrs. Harry at


Club Live:  Meets in room H2 from 2:15 to 3:00 pm on Thursdays.  Club Live promotes awareness and prevention about issues that affect our middle schoolers: drugs, smoking, bullying, suicide/self-harm, mental health...whatever the students want to address on their campus.  For more information please contact Mrs. Cutter at


Computer Coding Club:  Meets Mondays, starting September 11, in Room G3 from 2:10 to 3:00 PM.  There are no prerequisites to attend and everyone is welcome.  This club is taught by Oak Ridge High School AP Computer Science students. For more information email Mrs. Conforti at


Computer Hardware:  Meets Wednesdays in the Library from 1:10 to 3:00 pm.  This club focuses on how to build, deconstruct and learn about how computers work.  The goal is to create a full scale display in the library to teach students to identify the parts of a computer.  For more information please contact Lois Deatherage at


Crafting Club: Meets in Library on Wednesdays at 1:10 to 2:10 pm.  We will be doing all kinds of crafts including sewing and polymer clay.  For more information please contact Mrs. Deatherage at


Drama Club:  Meets every Monday from 2:10 to 3:15 pm in alternating rooms L1 or L6.  This is a student-driven club that gives students interested in theatrical arts a creative outlet.  Speaking skills as well as creative thinking are encouraged through role play, games, and improvisation.

Hands 4 Hope:  Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in Room G3 from 2:15 to 3:30 pm starting on Tuesday, 9/12/17.  This is a volunteer and leadership club that works to help the community by putting on fundraisers, drives, and other events.  Please contact Mrs. Conforti at for more information.


Retro Video Game Club:  Meets on Fridays in Room L4 from 2:15-3:00 PM starting 9/15/17.  The Retro Video Game Club lets you play old video games that you probably won't have a chance to play anywhere else. Consoles include Atari, N64, and GameCube.  For more information contact Mrs. Pirkl at


Running Club:  Meets Thursdays from 2:15 to 3:00 pm on the blacktop.  Do you enjoy running and want to stay in shape for track?  We will be running a couple of miles around El Dorado Hills.  For more information contact Judy Pickett at


Science Olympiad:  Meets Thursdays in Room H1 from 2:05 to 3:00 pm.  Do you love science? Join us and compete at the Region and State level in 23 different events ranging from all areas of science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering. Scooter & Fingerboard Club:  Meets Mondays in Room L2 from 2:10 to 3:00 pm.  The club will design courses for fingerboards, learn new tricks, and try to challenge themselves.  For more information contact Mrs. Beduhn at
